Happy New Year! After a lull over Christmas, we’ll get rolling on this year’s activities. Send us your club or ranch’s activites and we’ll post them up. A text file listing date, type of event, fees and other details, and point of contact is best and will be posted fastest. It’s free! And it’s for all the islands! Details below.
Here’s how to submit an ad: (submitting events is further on down the page)
- Click on the Classifieds link at the top of this page.
-Register if you haven’t already, or login if you have; it’s free. This information will show up on your ad, so use the information you want people to see and use to contact you.
-Once you’ve logged in or registered, click on New Ad on the left-hand side. NOTE: if you want to pay other than Paypal, you need to get me the money FIRST before you can proceed any further!!
-Type the title of your ad exactly as you want it to appear, and same for the body of the ad. After you’re done typing it all, you’ll click on the “Submit” button underneath the ad. The system will then process your text and you”ll get the next window, in which you will…
-Click “Add picture” to add up to 10 pictures to your ad. (Once in a while for some reason it asks you to login again, go ahead and do that.) Photos need to be less than around 2 MB or somewhere around 800 pixels wide or you’ll get an error message (it might say it’s the wrong file type but it’s actually just too big).
Your ad will come to me and I’ll review it before final uploading; also you’ll need to submit payment before I will upload it. Ad rates are $25/year for all classifieds and $40/year for all banner ads. If paying by check, make it out to HorsesHawaii.com and send to 217 Circle Mauka St., Wahiawa, HI 96786 and be sure to include the title or description of your ad. You can also pay by Paypal (www.paypal.com); our address to send payment to is sales@horseshawaii.com .
One of the many nice things about this new website is, once you’re registered as a member, you can edit your own ad whenever you wish, remove it when your item is sold, etc. Just log back in with your username and password, click on “Edit Ad,” and make whatever changes you want–it’s free to make changes!

How to submit an Event for the Upcoming Events page:
Email us at staff at horseshawaii dot com (change to standard email format) with all the information right in the body of your email. Be sure to include all the facts: who, what, when, where, how, and why. Photos are no extra charge if you have a relevant photograph to include. Since we have to transfer your event onto the website manually, it is a lot faster to send us the information right in the text of your email than an attachment, which we have to reconstruct by hand, fact by fact, into a post. An example of one way to submit the information is:

How to submit a Past Event or news item for the Horse News page:
Just send us an email at staff at horseshawaii dot com (change to standard format) with the information all complete so that we can copy and paste it right onto the Horse News page. This will get faster results than sending an attachment we have to manually translate into text. There is no charge for Horse News, Events, Lost and Found ads, and trail ride feedback!
How to rate your Trail RIde experience:
Just click on the “Comment” button next to the trail ride operation you rode with, type in your comments, and submit!
